The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the online opening ceremony of the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.
The President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the President of the Argentine Republic Alberto Fernández, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Mario Draghi, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji Inia Batikoto Seruiratu, Director General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Grynspan delivered their welcoming speeches during the ceremony.
China International Import Expo is the largest Chinese multifunctional exhibition event. The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The companies from 120 world countries are taking part in the exhibition in 2021.
Belarus has been participating in the CIIE for the fourth time. The National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus has been organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Belinterexpo Exhibition Unitary Enterprise of the BelCCI is the exhibition operator.
The National Exposition includes food industry and information technology enterprises, as well as ministries, medical, scientific and research and production institutions and universities.
Domestic companies participate in the CIIE 2021 in a remote format, which presupposes the work of employees of Belinterexpo Exhibition Unitary Enterprise of the BelCCI in Shanghai. They ensure holding of comprehensive business negotiations in the video conference format between the representatives of Belarusian enterprises and Chinese companies interested in cooperation with them.In addition, a virtual pavilion of the Republic of Belarus made with using 3D technologies will be available for online exhibition visitors till November 10.
