The BelCCI Deputy Chairman Denis Meleshkin takes part in the Joint Belarusian-Russian Business Council meeting

Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Denis Meleshkin took part in the meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Russian Business Council.

The event was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation with live webcast. The participants – co-chairs of the Joint Business Council (from the Russian side) and Nadezhda Lazarevich (from the Belarusian side), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko, Vice President of the CCI of Russia Vladimir Padalko, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the City ​​of Moscow Igor Tkach, representatives of Russian government agencies, financial institutions, Belarusian and Russian businesses – discussed the key tasks of the Business Council for the near future, topical issues on the agenda of bilateral economic cooperation, mechanisms for creating a comfortable urban environment in the two countries, the current state and prospects for cooperation between Belarusian and Russian companies in the areas of urban and housing construction, transport and the development of road transport infrastructure, the possibility of participation of Belarusian companies in infrastructure projects of the Russian Federation.

Representatives of Belarusian enterprises presented to Russian construction companies specific products and solutions for the implementation of the federal project "Comfortable Urban Environment Formation" and the departmental urban digitalization project "Smart City", including mechanized parking systems, modern elevators, elements of the automated system "Smart House", and other solutions.

Addressing the meeting participants, Denis Meleshkin noted that since the end of last year, the work of the Joint Belarusian-Russian Business Council has noticeably intensified, it serves as a platform for discussing joint projects, searching for new approaches for integrating the businesses of the two countries. "It is encouraging to note that today's meeting is of a practical nature: Belarusian enterprises present specific solutions that may be needed in the Russian market, the parties are jointly looking for the ways to develop mutually beneficial cooperation," the BelCCI Deputy Chairman said. He also stressed that the BelCCI expects the active business interaction within the framework of the Business Council to be continued and is ready to assist this in every possible way, to provide a platform for contacts establishing and developing.
