The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belarus, the Sakha Republic and the Zabaikalsky Krai outline plans for further cooperation

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov held a meeting with the President of the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Marina Bogoslovskaya, as well as the President of the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Zabaikalsky Krai Sergei Snetkov.

The cooperation of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Zabaikalsky Krai, active interaction through business circles contributes to increasing mutual trade turnover and finding new growth points.

In 2023, the Cooperation Agreement was updated between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and the Sakha Republic (to replace the 2010 Agreement). In the same year, an Agreement was also signed between the Mogilev Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Sakha.

As Mikhail Myatlikov noted, the parties attach great importance to close contacts, direct substantive interaction and, as a result, breakthrough cooperation projects. Mutually beneficial trade and attraction of foreign investment are at the core of the cooperation.

Thus, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Sakha, a visit of the delegation of business circles of the region to the Republic of Belarus was organized. B2B negotiations with Belarusian organizations were held, a presentation of the capabilities of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange was held. Members of the delegation also visited leading Belarusian enterprises.

Following the meetings, preliminary agreements were reached on cooperation in the supply of food products, textiles and garments to the Republic of Sakha, including through trading houses in the Russian Federation, contacts were established with manufacturers of Belarusian furniture, cosmetics, personal protective equipment and children's toys. “Our chambers of commerce and industry have sufficient potential, which we must use in every possible way to develop and strengthen interregional ties and economic relations between economic entities,” emphasized Mikhail Myatlikov.
