Two contracts and 12 agreements were signed in the course of the Belarusian-Indonesian Business Forum

On March 19, 2013, the Belarusian - Indonesian Business Forum was held in Jakarta under the arrangement of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Forum was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus V. Semashko, Minister of Foreign Affairs V. Makey, Minister for Taxes and Duties V. Poluyan, Minister of Industry D. Katerinich, Minister of Agriculture L. Zayatc, Finance Minister A. Kharkovetc, Minister of Economy N. Snopkov, other public authorities representatives, Deputy Chairman of the National Academy of the Sciences of Belarus Presidium S. Chizhik, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry M. Myatlikov, and the representatives of the Belarusian enterprises.

In the course of the business mission to Indonesia, the Belarusian delegation signed contracts valued at $ 400 mln.

In particular, 12 documents were signed during the Belarusian-Indonesian Business Forum. JSC Belarusian Potash Company signed the Engagement Agreement on muriate potash supplies with the company Lautan Luas. In 2013, Belarus will supply to Indonesia 250.000 tones of potash fertilizers.

The Memoranda of Understanding between the Belarusian companies OJSC "MAZ", "Eximgarant of Belarus", SPA "Center", RUE "Minsk Tractor Works", "Belshina Asia" Pte. Ltd., OJSC "BelAZ" and the Indonesian partners were signed. According to the agreements, 50 MAZ dump trucks, 20 BelAZ dump trucks and 20 MTW tractors will be supplied to Indonesia. The parties agreed on the supply of 500 more MAZ dump trucks and about 600 MTW tractors in the following 2-3 years.

Besides, it is planned to sell to Indonesia about 30 BelAZ dump trucks, with the volume of this machinery supplies to be ramped up in future.

Belarus is interested as well in the supplies to Indonesia of road construction machinery, automotive trucks and crushing units.

The implementation of a range of large-scale investment projects in the sphere of real estate and agriculture is under consideration.

The official part was followed by direct negotiations between the Belarusian and the Indonesian companies in the form of a B2B meeting. The Belarusian enterprises negotiated with the perspective Indonesian partners and agreed on the development of different variants of further cooperation.

On March 20, 2013 the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Products of the Republic of Belarus and "Salim Group" signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the supplies of milk powder, whey powder and other milk products to Indonesia. JSC "Meat & Dairy Company" will be in charge of the project realization on the Belarusian part.

The Indonesian Business Community received the invitation to visit the Republic of Belarus in the summer of 2013.
