On July 9, Yekaterinburg hosted a traditional press day dedicated to the start of the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representative of the partner country of the Republic of Belarus Mikhael Miatlikov, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Dmitry Ionin, Program Director of INNOPROM Anton Atrashkin were among the first guests invited to the press center.
Answering media questions about the goals of the Belarusian delegation at INNOPROM, Mikhael Miatlikov noted that Belarus, which has received the status of the main partner of the exhibition this year, will present a number of new proposals in Yekaterinburg. “For example, machine tool building exposition will include a dozen new machine tools, with our Belarusian software, which Ural enterprises can use today in their mechanical engineering,” said the head of the BelCCI.
Mikhael Miatlikov also named industrial cooperation as a significant aspect of the Belarusian presence at INNOPROM. “There are already many examples when equipment is produced from Russian components and is put into operation from Belarusian enterprises. BELAZ already has such examples, when the engine is produced in the Urals, BELAZ itself is produced in Belarus, and we already call it union projects. There are many such areas, which is why we came here to form new points of interaction between Russian and Belarusian enterprises,” Mikhael Miatlikov emphasized.
The Chairman of the BelCCI noted that the Belarusian participation is not limited to business contacts. During the days of the economic forum, Yekaterinburg hosts a large fair-festival, which presents not only goods, but also a cultural program.
