Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov took part in the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of the CIS member states.
The meeting was held in Moscow at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The theme was "A new level of integration. The role of chambers of the CIS member states in expanding mutual trade flows".
The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the Council's work in the current year, in the field of international activities, commercial arbitration, exhibition and fair events, exchanged views on the most demanded areas of work of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the interests of business and establishing contacts between enterprises and organizations in the CIS countries, building up mutual commodity flows.
Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov spoke about the development of one of the most important functions of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – certification of own production and origin of goods. Thus, in 2025, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to start full-fledged digitalization of own production certification.
Among the advantages of this form of documents he named simplification of the procedure for the customer, optimization of business processes of chambers.
"In addition, we consider the beginning of issuing electronic certificates of own production as a significant step towards electronic certificates of origin," the head of the BelCCI said, "If we talk about the electronic certificates through the prism of the interests of the CIS countries, electronic certificates of origin of goods of form CT-1 are seen as the main resource".
On making examples of the opportunities offered by the use of the electronic form of the Belarusian CT-1, Mikhael Miatlikov expressed his desire to introduce the electronic form of such a certificate by the end of next year.
"Digitalization of business processes is no longer the future at all, it is the present. And chambers can make a significant contribution to accelerating and expanding business interaction between our countries," the Chairman of the BelCCI summarized.
