5th International Economic Cooperation Forum: Expanding Geographical Reach and a New Package of International Agreements

As part of the business program marking City Day in Minsk, a key event on the city’s business calendar, the 5th International Economic Cooperation Forum, was held. The event brought together more than 200 representatives of the business community fr om 15 countries around the world. The forum was organized by the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Sergey Nabeshko, Director General of the Minsk Office of the BCCI, moderated the event.

Welcoming the participants of the anniversary forum, Vladimir Kukharev, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, noted that over the years of its existence, the event has established itself as a respected platform for building business contacts and concluding mutually beneficial contracts. According to him, the key trend is not only the annual growth in the number of participants, but also the significant expansion of the geographical reach of cooperation and the diversification of partnership areas. Particular emphasis was placed on developing cooperation between technology parks, which provides a solid foundation for the exchange of advanced technologies and innovations.

Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that amid the global transformation of traditional markets and logistics chains, Minsk is reaffirming its status as a respected hub for international business.

“Belarus is ready to offer foreign partners a wide range of industrial products, comprehensive solutions in agriculture and construction, as well as expertise in education, digital technologies, and industrial manufacturing. Foreign investors gain direct access to the large and growing market of the Eurasian Economic Union, wh ere high growth rates are currently being recorded and large-scale infrastructure projects are being implemented,” Mikhail Myatlikov noted.

The priority areas for cooperation identified included interregional partnership with the Russian Federation, particularly in developing industrial cooperation and launching joint investment projects, as well as the active expansion of business ties with countries in Asia and Africa. The BCCI, for its part, reaffirmed its readiness to provide companies with comprehensive support, from finding partners to assisting them in entering new markets.

The highlight of the eventful business program was the signing of a substantial package of international and interregional agreements aimed at developing trade and economic, innovation, and industrial ties.

During the forum, cooperation agreements were reached between the following organizations:

→ Minsk Office of the BCCI and Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UAE).

→ Minsk City Technology Park and the Russian Foundation for the Development of Innovative Entrepreneurship (FRIP), on cooperation in the field of innovation.

→ Minsk City Technology Park and Kirishi Service Company LLC (Levoberezhny Industrial Park, Russia).

→ Minsk City Technology Park and Nevskaya Financial and Construction Corporation LLC (IP Razmetelevo Industrial Park, Russia).

→ Association of Technology Parks and Innovation Actors and ZKIKH AimedTechnology (China).

→ Association of Technology Parks and Innovation Actors and Kirishi Service Company LLC (Levoberezhny Industrial Park, Russia).

→ Association of Technology Parks and Innovation Actors and Nevskaya Financial and Construction Corporation LLC (IP Razmetelevo Industrial Park, Russia).

The signed documents will provide an additional organizational framework for launching joint investment projects, facilitating technology exchange, and ensuring the successful integration of enterprises.
