Practical Tools for Working with the UAE and Türkiye Discussed at Minsk Forum

The practical forum “Business Guide to the UAE and Türkiye: Logistics, Finance, Law and Mentality” was held in Minsk. The event brought together more than 15 practicing speakers from three countries. They examined real-life business cases, dispelled common myths about doing business in these regions, and presented practical tools for international trade.

The forum was moderated by Vitaly Vabishchevich, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The participants were welcomed by Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Al-Musharrekh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Belarus; Yeliz Torun, Trade Representative of the Republic of Türkiye in Belarus; and Sergey Nabeshko, Director General of the Minsk Office of the BCCI.

The discussions covered key aspects of operating in international markets. Experts provided a detailed overview of the specifics of local business mentality and negotiations, building resilient supply chains, and using available banking and financial instruments. Particular attention was paid to contractual and legal matters and methods for minimizing commercial risks.

The United Arab Emirates and Türkiye are among Belarus’s largest foreign trade partners. For Belarusian businesses, the UAE is seen as a “gateway” to the markets of the Middle East and North Africa. An additional boost to cooperation will come with the entry into force on October 6 of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the EAEU and the UAE. At the same time, trade and economic cooperation with Türkiye continues to grow.

The format of the event enabled entrepreneurs not only to gain practical insights but also to communicate directly with experts. The organizers thanked the guests, speakers, and participants for attending, noting that the active engagement of the audience made the forum both practical and highly relevant.
