Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus Alireza Sanei.
The parties discussed general issues of Belarusian-Iranian trade and economic cooperation, key areas for cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, as well as the prospects of intensifying contacts between the regional departments of the CCIs of the two countries, including within the framework of the visit of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI delegation to Tehran, planned for October this year.
The sides also discussed the possibilities of organizing a visit of an Iranian business delegation to Belarus in the near future, as well as holding other business events, including presentation of the infrastructure of Iranian ports, the potential of their terminals, development prospects and possible cooperation with Belarusian companies.
In addition, the sides considered cooperation in the field of exhibition and trade fair activities, the possibility of organizing country exhibitions and expositions as part of major international exhibition or congress events in Belarus and Iran.
