A Belarusian delegation consisting of 12 leading companies visited the Vologda region as part of a business mission organized by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The visit was a logical continuation of the agreements reached during the Vologda Region Days in Belarus in August of this year.
On November 12, during the business mission, a roundtable titled «How to Present Yourself in the Global Market» took place. The event was opened by Acting Minister of Economic Development, Industry, and Trade of the Vologda Region Anna Teshnatiy and Vice President of the «Vologda Chamber of Commerce and Industry» Dmitry Telegin.
Representatives of Belarusian companies held more than thirty B2B negotiations with Vologda enterprises, where they outlined areas of cooperation. Among the priorities are the agro-industrial complex, food and light industry, industrial equipment manufacturing, woodworking, and tourism development.
As part of the business program, the delegation visited key enterprises in the region, including the Cherepovets factories «Elcom» and «NORD».
On November 13, representatives from Belarus participated in the regional entrepreneurship forum «My Business – My Opportunities». Belarus is a strategic partner for the Vologda Region, holding the first place in foreign trade turnover with a share of about 20%. The goal of cooperation was to increase trade turnover to 1 billion US dollars by 2030.
After the visit, active work has begun on contracts in the food industry and forestry sector, which opens new prospects for expanding economic cooperation between the regions. At the same time, an agreement on tourism cooperation is being prepared for signature.
