Business forum of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus

The business forum of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus was held at the "My Business" center in Chelyabinsk. The event was organized as part of the business program of the Working Group on Cooperation between Belarus and the Chelyabinsk Region, the 15^th meeting of which took place on October 11 with the participation of the Belarusian business delegation members.

The forum was opened by Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Ivan Kutsevlyak, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus Alexey Bogdanov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov, Director of the Agency for International Cooperation of the Chelyabinsk Region Valery Denisenko.

The speakers noted the constructive nature of business interaction between Belarus and the Chelyabinsk region, the positive dynamics of the trade turnover development, and identified promising areas for expanding interaction. The heads of business associations confirmed their readiness to provide comprehensive support to the companies interested in establishing partnerships.

The forum participants – representatives of enterprises and organizations from Belarus and the Chelyabinsk region of Russia – discussed current issues of Belarusian-Russian trade and economic cooperation. Opportunities for business development using the exchange trading mechanism, preferences offered to Russian companies within Belarusian free economic zones, and promising joint projects of the parties were presented.

As part of the event, some bilateral documents were signed, including the protocol of the 15^th meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation between the Chelyabinsk Region and the Republic of Belarus, agreements and contracts for the supply of the Minsk Tractor Works machinery, Amkodor OJSC equipment, as well as elevators manufactured by Mogilevliftmash JSC to Chelyabinsk partners.

At the end of the plenary part of the forum, managers and representatives of Belarusian and Russian companies held B2B negotiations on the development of interaction in a wide range of areas.
