Minsk Region Days at VDNKh in Moscow

A solemn event dedicated to the opening of the Days of Minsk Region took place at the pavilion "Republic of Belarus" at VDNKh in Moscow.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Turchin, State Secretary of the Union State, Dmitry Mezentsev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus for activities within the Union State and relations with the Russian Federation, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia, Dmitry Krutoy, General Director of the Minsk Иranch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergey Nabeshko, and representatives of regional administrations of the Russian Federation.

The presentation of the Minsk Region at VDNKh opened its doors to visitors on May 17 and will continue until June 2. The thematic exhibition concludes a series of presentations of Belarusian regions at the largest multifunctional exhibition complex in Moscow.

Minsk Region is the central and most significant region of the Republic of Belarus. It reflects all of Belarus in miniature. Visitors to the pavilion during the exhibition days will be able to learn about the heroic history of the region, its natural and cultural heritage, achievements in innovation, industrial and tourist potential.

The theme of economic development and ties with Russian partners have received particular importance during the Days of the region. The economic potential of the country's largest region is represented by stands of leading industrial flagships as well as producers of high-quality natural food products.

Additionally, elements of intangible cultural heritage of Minsk Region are presented during the exhibition, including those included in UNESCO's World Heritage List. There will be exhibitions of decorative and applied arts, traditional folk crafts, master classes by folk art masters, and performances by amateur artistic groups from Minsk Region.
