
On March 28–30, Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) hosts a major exhibition event in the food industry, the 22nd International Exhibition "Food, Ingredients and Production Technologies – UzFood". Belarus presents a large-scale exposition with the participation of more than 20 food producers.
The organizer of the Belarus – The Taste of Nature exposition is the exhibition company "Belinterexpo" of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exposition is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On March 28, the opening of the exhibition and the Belarusian pavilion took place. The opening ceremony of the exposition Belarus - The Taste of Nature was attended by Deputy Minister – Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Smilgin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umid Mamadaminov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich, General Director of the holding "Grodnomyasomolprom" Valeryan Klim, First Deputy General Director of the concern "Brestmyasomolprom" Aleksey Stepanovich, Deputy Director of the exhibition enterprise "Belinterexpo" Andrey Shakhanovich.
The exposition of Belarus at the exhibition is distinguished by a variety of presented directions and food products.
Concern "Belgospischeprom" presents the products of the confectionery factories "Kommunarka", "Spartak" and "Krasny Pischevik". Meat processing enterprises and manufacturers of dairy products, included in the Grodnomyasomolprom holding and the Brestmyasomolprom concern, are widely represented.
Meat products are demonstrated by Brest, Pinsk, Slonim, Volkovysk, Grodno and Oshmyany meat processing plants. The dairy segment is represented by the Kobrin Butter and Cheese Factory, Minsk Margarine Plant, Luninets Dairy Plant, Lida Milk Canning Plant, Molochny Mir, Molochny Gostinets and Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1.
Bakery products are demonstrated by Beresteysky Pekar OJSC, and Bellakt has brought baby food products.
The exhibition also presents the products of OJSC "Malorita Canning and Vegetable Drying Plant" and OJSC "Lida Food Concentrates".
On the opening day of the exhibition, the Uzbek-Belarusian business forum was held, in which more than 50 leaders and representatives of state bodies and business circles of the two countries took part.
The event participants discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and food. Information was provided on the food potential of the Republic of Belarus, as well as presentations of the export potential of the Brest and Grodno regions were presented. At the end of the event, the business circles of the two countries continued to work in the format of B2B negotiations, which were also held separately at the stands of Belarusian enterprises.
Every year, the UzFood exhibition is accompanied by a rich business program: Retail Center (a specialized platform for meetings between food producers and buyers, retailers and distributors), seminars and master classes for participants.
