Forum-workshop "Path to India: Possibility of Belarusian export", organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is held in Mogilev. The event is attended by over 150 companies - representatives of the real sector of the domestic economy and more than 20 speakers, including specialists from the Indian banking, legal, and economic spheres.

- For our country, India is a very interesting market with a population of 1.5 billion people, a market in which the middle class is growing rapidly. According to forecasts, by 2047, the middle class of India will generate 75% of domestic demand. In addition, according to experts, India has the prospect of overtaking the economy of Japan and Germany by 2027 and becoming the third economy in the world. Therefore, it is very important and necessary for Belarus to have such a trade and economic partner, - noted Deputy Chairperson of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elena Malinovskaya.

In addition, according to her, India is a whole world with its own worldview, its own approach to business, its own traditions. And if Belarus were to start studying India from scratch today, it would be very difficult.

- But, fortunately, there is no need for this, - Elena Malinovskaya emphasized. - Belarusian business has been working with India for quite a long time. Diplomatic relations were established in 1992, and we began interacting through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1993. Today, the legal framework of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry includes 20 documents. We regularly organize business missions, participate in Indian exhibitions, and receive Indian colleagues in Belarus. It is gratifying that all this is happening out of mutual interest.

This forum-workshop is not just a discussion, but a step-by-step instruction on how to bring Belarusian products to the Indian market. As Gennady Cherny, Director General of the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted, the goal of the forum is to provide enterprises not with general discussions, but with specific tools and knowledge that will allow Belarusian businesses to confidently start and develop long-term cooperation with Indian partners.

- By forming an audience of enterprises interested in developing relations with India, we received feedback on issues that are relevant for business. During the event, a wide range of topics will be discussed - from the cultural characteristics of Indians to finding partners, making payments, settling disputes, the nuances of certification, labeling, logistics, - Gennady Cherny emphasized.

The forum-workshop "The Path to India: Possibility of Belarusian Export" includes three sessions. Informal communication of interested parties is also planned.
