Meeting with the President of the Federation of Myanmar Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Ai Win

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov met with the President of the Federation of Myanmar Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ai Win. His visit to Minsk took place to participate in the events of the Eurasian Economic Forum as part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of Myanmar. This event, according to Mikhail Myatlikov, is significant both for inter-party interaction and for bilateral trade relations.

– I think it is important to continue to maintain a direct dialogue between our chambers and create conditions for the exchange of business proposals. Over the past year, trade between Belarus and Myanmar has more than doubled. This is a good result, to which, undoubtedly, our chambers of commerce and industry also contributed. We see great potential for joint projects in industry, agro-industry, education, as well as in scientific and technical cooperation and humanitarian exchanges, – noted Mikhail Myatlikov.

This year, the contacts between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry are successfully developing. In March 2025, the Belarusian-Myanmar business forum was held with the participation of the Prime Minister of Myanmar, and before that, the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus to Myanmar took place in January, during which a bilateral business forum was also organized.

Both events showed serious business interest in expanding cooperation, made it possible to present the economic potential of the two countries and outline growth points for bilateral trade.
