A meeting with the Governor of the Vladimir Region of the Russian Federation Alexander Avdeev took place at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov, President of the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Vladimir Region" Ivan Aksenov, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange Alexander Osmolovsky, Head of the Nizhny Novgorod Division of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation Vladimir Voronkovich, members of the official delegation of the Vladimir Region.
In his welcoming speech, the BelCCI Chairman Mikhael Miatlikov noted that he was pleased with the intensification of interaction between regional organizations of Belarus and Russia. According to him, Belarusian-Russian cooperation is now reaching a new level. The task is to develop and expand traditional areas, not forgetting about the new ones, as well as to expand the range of mutual supplies and expand cooperation.
"Today an agreement will be signed between the Belarusian and Vladimir Chambers of Commerce and Industry. We already have agreements with regional branches. I am glad that not only central Belarusian and Russian organizations, but also regional ones work with each other. Business and enterprises from the regions also actively meet and interact," Mikhael Miatlikov said.
The cooperation that is developing between Belarus and Russia is now of a practical nature, added Alexander Avdeev, the Governor of the Vladimir Region. "In the current geopolitical conditions of sanctions pressure, the issues of searching for cooperation ties and elements of import substitution come to the fore. It shows up in literally everything. We've recently organized a business mission, as a result of which it is already planned to sign three agreements with the Belarusian side," the Governor noted.
During the meeting, topical issues and promising directions for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation were considered. The Russian side was presented with the mechanisms to support bilateral trade operations and business contacts offered by the BelCCI and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.
The Chairman of the BelCCI and the President of the Union "CCI of the Vladimir Region" signed an agreement on cooperation between the two organizations. In order to assist Belarusian and Russian organizations and entrepreneurs in developing business ties, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, the parties have agreed to regularly organize visits, business meetings, exhibitions and fairs aimed at establishing bilateral business contacts; to exchange commercial proposals for trade and economic cooperation, lists of potential partners; to inform each other about ongoing business events, assist in the opening of enterprises, information centers and other structures to promote business cooperation, as well as to facilitate the resolution of foreign economic disputes through international arbitration.
According to the Vladimir Region Governor, several more agreements on cooperation between enterprises will be signed during the visit. Alexander Avdeev expressed confidence that these contracts will affect the economic indicators of Belarus and the Vladimir Region.
