A seminar on "Entering the EAEU markets, preferences in public procurement in the Republic of Belarus", organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was held in Minsk. Changes in legislation, the procedure for inclusion in the Eurasian registers, deadlines for submitting documents - these and other issues were considered during the discussion of businesses with government agencies and specialized organizations.
The event aroused great interest among those present - representatives of Belarusian enterprises in various fields of activity. According to estimates by the Eurasian Economic Commission, the public services market in the EAEU in 2024 amounted to 200 billion dollars. But the market for mutual participation of the EAEU member states is only half a billion - about 1%.
- In this regard, great prospects are opening up for Belarusian enterprises when entering the public procurement market in the EAEU. These issues were the subject of the first block of the seminar. Here, experts explained how to join the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods, talked about the nuances of the EEC Council Decision No. 105, so that Belarusian businesses could enter the EAEU public procurement market, said Denis Meleshkin, Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI.
At the same time, he noted that Belarusian enterprises are the most active in terms of including their goods in the EAEU registers - more than 25 thousand goods of about 250 Belarusian enterprises are included in the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods, which is about 75% of the total number of enterprises and goods included in this register.
The second block of the seminar was devoted to the Belarusian public procurement market. Denis Meleshkin stated: in 2024, the volume of concluded transactions amounted to 4.6 billion Belarusian rubles. Therefore, the topic also aroused keen interest among business entities. The seminar discussed issues of changing the legislation in this area, and how to get preferences when entering the public procurement market of the Republic of Belarus. At the end of the event, individual consultations were held for members of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on issues of inclusion in the register of industrial products of the Republic of Belarus and the Eurasian register of industrial goods.
