On 6 September, the first Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum started at the National Library of Belarus in Minsk. The exhibition-presentation of products and goods of the two countries was launched in the frameworks of this forum.
The organizer of the exhibition-presentation is the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the operator is the exhibition enterprise "Belinterexpo" of the BelCCI.
The exhibition-presentation was visited by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and the Chairman of the Senate Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva. The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov and Director of the Exhibition Enterprise "Belinterexpo" Natalya Kurash acquainted the distinguished guests with the proposals of the Belarusian participants. The list of first visitors of the exhibition also included representatives of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, deputies and representatives of state bodies of Uzbekistan.
72 enterprises and organizations from Belarus, as well as 26 Uzbek enterprises are taking part in the exhibition-presentation. This exhibition embraces both an outdoor exhibition of technology and an exhibition of goods and services in the library building.
The street exposition in front of the entrance to the National Library of Belarus presents advanced equipment of such Belarusian manufacturers as AMKODOR OJSC, BELGI CJSC, Minsk Tractor Works, OJSC "MAZ" – the management company of the holding "BELAVTOMAZ", BKM Holding, OJSC "Belshina".
In addition, retail outlets with the products of TD MINSKHLEBPROM LLC and the Lyuban Forestry Enterprise make part of the street exposition.
More than 400 exhibits are presented inside the national library, divided into six thematic blocks.
Beauty and Business. This section presents enterprises whose activities are related to the light and cosmetics industries.
Women in Business. This block presents two companies –ENEF OJSC and BELFA OJSC, which are managed by women.
Medicine and Healthcare. The thematic section is represented by organizations of the Ministry of Health, such as the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Transfusiology and Biomedical Technologies, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, the Belpharmprom Holding Management Company, and others. Prosthetic and orthopedic products from the Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center are presented separately.
Tourism and Rest. The block includes a presentation of inbound tourism from the National Tourism Agency.
Education and Science. This section demonstrates scientific developments and educational services from the main organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the State Committee for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
Taste of Belarus. A variety of products from the Belgospishcheprom food industry concern are located here, including chocolate and sweets, marshmallow and marmalade, various types of cookies, as well as other products. Glazed cheese curds, milkshakes from OJSC "Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1", ice cream from UE "Minsk Khladokombinat No. 2" are presented for tasting, as well as poultry and turkey products from JSC "Agrokombinat "Dzerzhinsky", and many other products.
The exposition "Made in Uzbekistan" displays handicrafts, agricultural products, including fruits and melons, electrical equipment, as well as knitwear.
